ISSA/INTERCLEAN Innovation Award 2010

After an inspiring opening by renowned trend watcher Adjiedj Bakas, the chairman of the Innovation Award jury, Michelle Marshall, announced the winner of 2010: Baudoin Wash Systems with the Travelator Cleaner.nl.(the Netherlands - stand 02.102)
The jury was unanomous in her judgement: it is rare that the jury sees a product which is so original, ergonomical and sustainable. A true innovation! The Travelator Cleaner.nl is also winner of the category 'Equipment/tools for cleaning, care and safety'.

The winner of the 'Machines, accessories and components' category is Karcher (Germany - stand 01.135) with cleaning machine BD 50/40 RS.
This compact machine is able to clean areas productively and energy efficiently. Reason enough to announce BD 50/40 RS as category winner.
Alpheios International (the Netherlands - stand 01.315) is the winner of the category 'Cleaning management and training solutions' with the Vive Sustainability Scan. This scan offers organisations a concrete implementatioin plan. It quickly highlights which areas are being cleaned and how.
The jury finds the Vive Sustainability Scan an innovative service. If offers and in-depth analysis for the cleaning operations and highlights the areas that need to be improved.

ISSA/INTERCLEAN SUPPORTS AFRICAN WATER PROJECT

All ISSA/INTERCLEAN Innovation Award registration fees will be donated to a good cause. The proceeds will go to the African Medical & Research Foundation (AMREF) Flying Doctors, a charity that has been supported for several years by other international trade shows organised by Amsterdam RAI.
Amsterdam RAI sponsors the project in Mtwara, Tanzania, to create accessible water supplies and sanitary facilities. Residents in Mtwara take an active part in the project by organising educational events to raise awareness for clean water, health and hygiene for everyone. € 12,000 has been collected for the construction and maintenance of sanitary and water facilities in Mtwara, Tanzania.
